$22,600 Awarded - 2026 Innovator Grants

Creativity was on full display during this year’s grant cycle as East Penn educators submitted an impressive slate of innovative ideas. Guided by criteria including innovation, impact, sustainability, and STEAM alignment, the Education Foundation is thrilled to award 10 grants totaling $22,600 for the 2025/2026 school year.

Every year, our EPSD educators get the opportunity to bring their creative vision to life through Education Foundation grant funding.

OUR TOP GRANT RECIPIENTS for 2026 are:

Lower Macungie Middle School was awarded a $5,000 grant for From Consumerism to Creation: Upcycling & Sustainability in Family and Consumer Sciences, proposed by Britt Linn, which integrates sustainability education into the 8th-grade curriculum and expands learning through an after-school DIY Fashion & Upcycling Club for students in grades 6–8 using hands-on design tools.

Madison Bruder of Emmaus High School was awarded a $5,000 grant for Hornet Makers: Building Skills for Independence and Entrepreneurship, providing students in Autistic Support and Life Skills programs with access to design and production tools to build vocational readiness, independence, and real-world skills.

Jill Schrader, Ross Kirk, Jeff Shreck, Kirsty Comer, and Bonne Bosco of the EPSD Elementary Art Department were awarded a $5,000 grant for What’s Glowing On? Illuminating Creativity. This will serve all of the EPSD elementary school buildings.
